Tourist Information - Langtang National Park

Langtang National Park 

It extends over the parts of Nuwakot, Rasuwa and Sindhupalchowk districts in the mountainous terrain of Nepal-China (Tibet) border.

The main attraction of the park is the Langtang range in the north and several lakes in the south. High altitude jungles with diverse vegetation and wildlife, scenic lakes, glaciers and Himalayan peaks together make Langtang a very attractive destination for the visitors. 

The animals like wild dog, red panda, pika, muntjac, musk deer, Himalayan black beer, imalayan tahr, ghoral, serow, rhesus monkey, common langur and snow leopard.

Also approximately 373 species of birds are found in the region and the commonly found species are tragopan and impeyan pheasants.

It is also famous for its holy lake Gosainkunda, which is often busy during festival in August.
